  • Large Nonprofit Organization of the year: Mental Health Center of Denver
  • Emerging Business of the Year: Younique Counseling

Certainly, recent tragic events have brought the issue of mental wellness into the spotlight; however, this important conversation has continued holding its own!

A Farewell to Board Stalwart Barbara Ford

On April 29, the Mental Health Center of Denver honored Barbara Ford, LMFT, CAC III with a plaque commemorating her invaluable service as a member, officer and past chair of the Board of Directors. She has fulfilled her third and final term on the board 

 Barbara joined the Board in 2004, a time when the Mental Health Center of Denver was far less robust and secure in its programming and finances. National Council Reintegration Award for 2Succeed

Las Vegas (April 9, 2013) - The Mental Health Center of Denver 2Succeed program has received another honor – a second place finish in the employment category of the National Council’s 2013 Reintegration Awards competition. Program Director Roy Starks accepted the award at the ceremony held in conjunction with the National Council’s annual conference in Las Vegas on April 9. The Mental Health Center of Denver's Recovery Center Earns LEED® Platinum Certification

DENVER (March 22, 2013) – In July 2012, the Mental Health Center of Denver opened its new Recovery Center at 4455 E. 12th Ave. in Denver. Recently, the Recovery Center was awarded the highest Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED®) Platinum Certification from the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC), helping the Mental Health Center of Denver fulfill its vision of being the greenest mental health facility in the country.
