The Four Measures of Recovery

The Mental Health Center of Denver has developed the infrastructure and expertise in the development of highly reliable and valid instruments to measure mental health recovery outcomes. Since the path toward recovery is different for each consumer, we rely on the experience of consumers to learn what helps promote recovery and under what circumstances. These instruments measure recovery from multiple perspectives and dimensions. Reports of the data demonstrate change over time. This informs clinical practice by demonstrating which practices are most effective in promoting recovery.

Reaching recovery is where measurement, implementation, clinical, and consumer experience come together. This is a process which helps centers move towards an outcome driven, strengths-based, recovery focused system.
