What We Do

Mission

Enriching lives and minds by focusing on strengths and recovery.

Mental health recovery guides our work at the Mental Health Center of Denver. With one in every five people struggling with mental illness, our focus on recovery and resilience is essential to the community’s well-being.

Recovery means that people with mental illness are living healthy, productive and meaningful lives in our community. Resilience focuses on early intervention and prevention, and promoting positive potential in children, adolescents and families.

We are Denver’s source for comprehensive and accessible mental health and substance abuse treatment, housing, education and employment services for adults and the leading resource of treatment for children, teens and families. Each adult, family or child we serve has access to our full range of services.

Our mission of enriching lives and minds by focusing on strengths and recovery comes to life each day as we work with our community partners and those we serve to create lasting opportunities for mental health recovery.
