The Program 

El Centro de las Familias is a multi-cultural clinic which provides outpatient mental healthcare in Spanish to the Latino/Hispanic community and to the south west community in Denver.

 

Recovery Philosophy

With an emphasis on Spanish-speaking and bilingual consumers, the El Centro staff engages our Spanish-speaking consumers to use the strengths of their culture, values, and existing resources for optimum recovery. Latino traditions, customs and values are examined and integrated into the treatment process.

Program Components

Our multi-disciplinary team of clinicians, social workers, case managers, nurses and psychiatrists provide appropriate, integrated, recovery-focused services where culture is understood and respected. Services include:

  • Bilingual and Spanish-speaking assessment and evaluation

  • Play therapy
  • Case management
  • Psychiatry
  • Medication evaluations and management
  • Strengthening Families Program
  • Free Voz y Corazon Suicide Prevention group for consumers and community members
