We cooperate with the Department of Vocational Rehabilitation (DVR), a statewide resource and employment service that assists businesses in recruiting, hiring and retaining employees. Both the Mental Health Center of Denver and DVR are committed to helping people find meaningful careers while meeting your employment needs.

Becoming a MemberA service for our clients2Succeed is a service for active Mental Health Center of Denver clients. To become a member, clients must attend a program orientation at 456 Bannock Street in Denver. Orientation is held three times a week—Tuesday and Thursdays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and Wednesdays from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Clients need only attend one session, and it is not necessary to make an appointment for orientation.

ProgramsPeer MentorsThere is no better asset in recovery than the support of another person who has faced similar life challenges. Our Peer Mentoring program connects people who are in early recovery with others who are further along in their recovery. Currently peer mentors provide support and assistance to 30 people enrolled in our programs. For more information on our peer mentor program, please call 303.504.1716. Project with IndustryProject with Industry (PWI) is a program funded by a grant from the Department of Education’s Rehabilitation Service Administration (RSA). Through this grant, funds are distributed to organizations that employ individuals with disabilities who have also experienced chronic homelessness. PWI is currently partnered with several hotels in downtown Denver including The Oxford Hotel, Grand Hyatt, Sheraton, Courtyard by Marriot, Residence Inn, Curtis Hotel and the Magnolia Hotel. Click here to find out more. Sally's CaféSally’s Café helps to prepare our clients for careers in the culinary arts while also serving as a healthy and secure source of food for our consumers. The café, staffed by our consumers, serves lunch daily 365 days per year at a cost of $7 per month to our clients. Workers who receive training in the culinary arts at Sally’s Café have gone on to careers in catering, restaurants and food service. |
