Congratulations to the Mental Health Center of Denver’s Theresa Baiotto!
Theresa is the winner of the 2012 Pam Medina Award, bestowed by Colorado Community Mental Health Associates (CCMHA) to recognize the administrative support staff person at a community mental health center who best exemplifies the late Pam Medina’s dedication to high quality work, great customer service, and an innovative/best practices approach to the job.
Theresa serves as Executive Assistant to CEO, Carl Clark, M.D.; CFO, Dr. Forrest Cason; and Medical Director, Cheryl Clark, M.D.. In her role, she also provides key support to our Executive Management Team, the Board of Directors, and to our entire organization. Theresa’s contributions go well beyond her official duties to include vital support for such organization-wide activities as the Green Team, All Staff Meetings and Picnics, annual meeting, development of the SharePoint site, and many others.
CCMHA announced the award on September 27, 2012 at its annual conference, coinciding with Colorado Behavioral Healthcare Council (CBHC). Theresa expressed “how honored I feel to be the 2012 recipient of the Pam Medina Award,” adding “I was not fortunate enough to know Pam in person, but from what I’ve heard from others, she was a remarkable person.” Theresa also expressed “how proud I feel to work for a mental health center [knowing] I’m contributing to something bigger than myself.” Theresa stated that she is “appreciative of everyone I work with at the Mental Health Center of Denver as well as all of those who work for the other Colorado mental health centers. Thank you for all of YOUR hard work, and thank you for choosing to be in what Dr. Carl Clark calls ‘the business of helping people get their lives back.’” This is the second award won by a Mental Health Center of Denver employee. The first ever Pam Medina Award went to Priscilla Woodward in 2009. Priscilla was the Front Office Manager for the Mental Health Center of Denver’s Clermont Clinic and continues in that role for the third floor of new the Recovery Center.
