The Mental Health Center of Denver is proud to share that we have been honored with the 2019 Cigna Well-Being Award.
The award recognizes our organization for having a strong commitment to improving employee health and well-being through a comprehensive workplace wellness program. Award applicants were evaluated based on the core components of their wellness program, including the goals, implementation, incentives, accessibility, leadership engagement and overall employee participation. All applications were reviewed and judged by an internal, multi-departmental review Cigna committee. The committee recognized our program as “Outstanding.”
Much of the credit for the Cigna Well-Being Award goes to employees themselves who complete their annual Wellness Challenges, which encourages preventative checkups, exercise, healthy habits and taking “The Science of Well-Being” course from Yale University. Many employees participate in sporting teams and leagues, charity runs and other special events, which adds to our shared spirit of camaraderie.
Our organization also has a Health and Well-Being Initiatives Committee, which shares healthy tips and information with employees and guides our efforts to provide quality workout rooms and a variety of well-being activities.
The Cigna Well-Being Award is confirmation of the Mental Health Center of Denver’s clear commitment to employee well-being. It also affirms the shared culture among all employees whose personal commitment to well-being has a positive impact on coworkers, the people we serve and our entire community.
